Using Dollar Tree's LA's Totally Awesome

Welcome back friends and family. Did you know that Dollar Tree's LA's Totally Awesome brand has a ton of products for your home?  There is everything from the original cleaner (yellow stuff in the bottle) to laundry detergent to bathroom cleaner.  I just got some of the original cleaner last weekend and I've got to tell you it is totally awesome.

(This is a stock photo taken from Dollar Tree's website.)

I did some checking around and have found that this can be purchased at other retailers and other online store but it is more expensive and you get less product. This bottle here is $1.25 for 32 Fl. Oz. Or 12 for $15.00.  You can get 2 bottles of the exact same thing on Amazon but they are currently $10 but it was $14.99.  I love Amazon and shop online all the time but why pay $5 when I can pay $1.25?  Again I love to save money and do things with as little cost, dollar wise, as possible. Yet another reason to love and shop at Dollar Tree.

Ok now on to how amazing this stuff is but, first, I have a confession to make........I HATE cleaning. I struggle to find motivation and I also have a difficult time staying on task. For example, I start cleaning the kitchen and find something that belongs in another room, I got put it up, realize I hadn't finished doing something in that room, then realize I need to do laundry or whatever and never finish anything. I know I'm not the only one who does this but it is so frustrating. So, when I picked this up I was super excited to clean something, anything and just knew I'd at least finish cleaning that thing. I got home and started trying to figure out what to do first. How about something I knew had not been properly cleaned in a long time....oh I know, the vents above my stove.  I hadn't cleaned them in years so I figured that would be a great place to start. Here is what my vents looked like before I soaked them.

Gross right?  Years of gunk and grease built up. So what I did was put 2 caps of LA's Totally Awesome Original Cleaner in a sink of hot water. Put my vents (there's 2 of them) in the sink to soak. After about 2 minutes I used a sponge (also from DT) and gently rubbed to see what would happen. Here is a picture of it after the 2 minute mark.

A huge difference right?  I was completely blown away. Why did I wait so long to try this out?  I decided to wait another few minutes the see if they would be even easier to clean   So after a total of 5 minutes, I wiped again with my sponge and it's a complete difference. Very little scrubbing, I did use a toothbrush (an old one, come on I'm not that crazy) to get in the little cracks and crevices. And just like that it's all shiny and new looking. Just see for yourself.

Talk about some good motivation to keep cleaning. Forget all those high priced cleaning products. I've never had any of it clean as well or as quickly as LA's Totally Awesome Original Cleaner. One of my favorite things about it is that there was no harsh chemically smell. Another great thing is there is no ammonia so it's safe to clean cat litter boxes too.
Here's another stock photo from Dollar Tree.
This shows the list of stuff you can clean with it and the amount of solution to water ratio to clean said thing. I'm sure there are many more uses for this and can't wait to try some.

I am hoping that I will continue to be motivated to keep using this wonderful cleaning product. I did clean my microwave, sink, cabinets and fridge doors with this as well that same day. I felt very accomplished and my ktchen looked great (I have kids remember). Haha.

I think this product would be fantastic for anyone who owns a cleaning service. You can purchase a case of 12 bottles for $15.00 and have it shipped directly to your local store for free. Can't beat that deal for a concentration of cleaning solution that could clean an entire house or office with a couple caps of product.

Happy cleaning friends. Please  leave me a comment on your favorite uses of this great product or if you've had a bad experience with it, share that too. I'd love to hear from you.

A Tip to Help With Chaotic Cleaning

Welcome back friends and family. Today we are gonna combine cleaning with a little crafting.  How many of us, while cleaning house, find things that belong in the kids rooms or the living room or the bathroom or even your room?  Well, in this post I'm going to show you how I've taken steps to combat this because this drives me crazy when I already clean like I have ADHD. Now I'm not saying anything negative about ADHD because both my kids have been diagnosed with ADHD so I understand how this can affect someone and their lives. I'm simply saying that when I clean I cannot stay focused on a task because I'm constantly picking things up and going to another room where I see something else that needs to be done and I start working on that, etc. I then forget to go back and finish what I've already started. I still struggle with this every time I clean but this little tip/trick has helped a lot. I also call this "Chaotic Cleaning". I have found these great...

Quick and Easy DIY Decor

Welcome back friends and family. Today if like to show you a quick little DIY. I found this  little sign at Dollar Tree a few weeks ago and thought it was cute as is but wanted to make it just a bit better.  Now, like I said, this is cute as is and can easily be placed on a shelf or a tired tray and be perfect for you. I wanted it to be a little extra. I removed the flower but will keep it for another project. It came right out without any extra tools or anything.  The next thing I did was to sand away any rough surface around the hole. Once that was done I used just a regular black sharpie and put dots and small lines all along the outside of the letters just to make them stand out just a little more. I think it really made the letters pop and made it look just a bit more high end.  I found this really cute garland with wooden beads and these little circles with sailboats back when Dollar Tree had all their nautical décor out at t...
